About Ardentia
Grounded in practice, guided by care
We are a small advisory practice that takes organisational change seriously — not as a project to be delivered, but as a human experience to be guided well.

How Ardentia came to be
Ardentia was founded in 2018 by two former management consultants who had spent years watching well-considered change initiatives falter — not because of poor strategy, but because the people side was handled as an afterthought. Too often, communication plans were written after decisions had already been announced. Managers were told about changes at the same time as their teams. Employees were given roadmaps with no room for their questions.
We set up in Penang with a deliberate intent: to offer change management advisory that puts the human dimension first and is paced accordingly. We have stayed small by choice. Both founding advisors remain actively involved in every engagement, and we do not take on more work than we can do well.
Over the years we have worked with financial services firms, manufacturing groups, professional services businesses and a handful of non-profit organisations, all at different stages of their own transitions. The work has ranged from pre-merger communications to restructuring support to the introduction of new operating models. Each engagement has reinforced our view that change, when handled with steadiness and transparency, tends to hold.
Our Mission
"To help organisations move through significant transitions in a way that is honest with their people, clear in its direction and capable of lasting once the advisory relationship ends."

Our People
The advisors behind the work
We are a tight team. Every engagement is led by one of our founding advisors, supported by a small group of associates whose backgrounds complement the specific needs of each client.
Lim Hui Ying
Co-Founder & Principal Advisor
Hui Ying spent twelve years in regional management consulting before founding Ardentia. She leads readiness and diagnostic engagements and has particular depth in communications planning for mid-market businesses.
Rajan Arumugam
Co-Founder & Principal Advisor
Rajan focuses on embedded support and longer-term change accompaniment. Before Ardentia, he led internal change functions for two listed companies in the Klang Valley. He brings structure without rigidity to complex, multi-month transitions.
Nurul Syahira
Senior Associate
Syahira supports roadmap and communications engagements across Peninsular Malaysia. With a background in organisational psychology, she brings depth to stakeholder mapping and manager readiness work.
How We Work
The standards we hold ourselves to
We do not have a quality manual. What we have instead are a few commitments that shape every engagement — ones we return to when we are unsure what to do next.
Strict Confidentiality
All information shared with us — in interviews, working sessions or written documents — is treated as confidential. We never share client materials with third parties.
Documented Deliverables
Every engagement produces clear, written outputs — notes, summaries, plans and briefing materials that belong entirely to the client. Nothing we produce is generic; it reflects your specific situation.
Scope Discipline
We define what is included in each engagement before it begins and hold to that scope. If the work needs to expand, we have that conversation openly rather than letting it grow without notice.
Adaptive Methodology
We use structured approaches, but we adjust them when the situation calls for it. A methodology that ignores what is actually happening is just overhead — we avoid that.
Data Privacy Practices
Survey responses, interview notes and personal data collected during engagements are handled in accordance with Malaysia's PDPA. We collect only what is needed and hold it only for as long as the engagement requires.
Ongoing Professional Development
Both founding advisors maintain active professional development in change management, organisational behaviour and related fields. We bring current thinking to our clients' situations, not just accumulated habit.
Our Approach in Context
Change management advisory in the Malaysian context
Organisational change in Malaysia often moves across multiple layers simultaneously — language, hierarchy, pace expectation and communication style all shape how a workforce receives and processes a transition. An approach developed for a European or North American context does not simply transfer. Ardentia has built its practice from within this environment and works with its grain rather than against it.
Our advisory work spans three distinct service types, each suited to a different stage or scale of change. The Change Readiness Review is suited to organisations about to begin a structural or system transition who want a clear-eyed picture of their starting point. The Change Roadmap and Communications Plan supports organisations that have a defined change to introduce and need help sequencing and communicating it well. Embedded Change Support accompanies organisations through complex, multi-month transitions, maintaining rhythm and building internal capability throughout.
Across all three services, our emphasis is on building the understanding and ownership that make change hold once external support steps back. The advisory relationship is a means to an end, not a dependency. When our work is done well, your leaders and managers are better equipped to handle the next transition on their own.

Let us find out if we are a good fit
The first conversation is always exploratory — you share what you are working through, we share how we work, and we both get a sense of whether it makes sense to go further.
